Privacy Policy
Effective / Last updated: August 26, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how JLS Consulting Group, LLC (“JLS,” “we,” “us”) handles information in connection with this website. It describes only the practices actually used on this site.
1. Information you submit through the contact form
The contact form on our About & Contact page asks for your name, title, company, work email address, the certification framework you are interested in, and your message. Any additional details you choose to include in the message field are also submitted to us. All of these fields are provided voluntarily by you; you are not required to use the form to browse this website.
Please do not submit sensitive personal information, classified information, or confidential technical material through the contact form.
2. How we use submitted information
- To read, evaluate, and respond to your inquiry.
- To discuss potential certification consulting engagements and, if appropriate, schedule a conversation with you.
- To keep a record of business correspondence.
- To comply with applicable legal obligations.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising or automated marketing campaigns. We do not add contact form submissions to a newsletter or mailing list.
3. Technical information collected automatically
This website does not run analytics software, advertising tags, tracking pixels, or visitor profiling tools. As with virtually any website, the infrastructure that serves these pages processes standard technical request data — such as IP address, browser type, requested URL, and timestamp — as part of delivering pages and maintaining security and availability. We do not use that data to build profiles of visitors.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
We do not use advertising, marketing, or analytics cookies. The website stores two items in your browser’s local storage, both strictly necessary for the site to work as you expect:
- jls.locale — remembers the language you selected.
- jls.cookie-prefs — remembers the choice you make in Cookie Settings.
Neither item contains personal data or a tracking identifier. You can review these through the “Cookie Settings” link in the footer, and you can clear this storage through your browser settings.
5. Third-party services
The website relies on a small number of third-party services:
- Website hosting. Our hosting provider serves this website and processes requests, including contact form submissions, on our behalf.
- Google Fonts. Typefaces are loaded from Google’s font service, which receives the technical request data needed to deliver the font files.
- Google Maps. The footer address can open an embedded map. The map only loads when you open it, and Google may then set its own cookies.
- LinkedIn. We link to LinkedIn profiles. Following a link takes you to LinkedIn, where LinkedIn’s own policies apply.
6. How information may be shared
We do not sell, rent, or trade your information. We may share information only: with the service providers described above, acting on our behalf to operate the website and our email; with professional advisors where necessary; when required by law, subpoena, or other legal process; to protect our rights, safety, or property; or in connection with a business transfer such as a merger or acquisition.
7. Data retention
We retain contact form submissions and related correspondence for as long as needed to respond to your inquiry and maintain records of our business communications, and thereafter only as required for legitimate business or legal purposes. You may ask us to delete your inquiry at any time using the contact details below.
8. Data security
The website is served over HTTPS, and we apply reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your choices and rights
You can choose not to submit the contact form, ask us to correct or delete the information you sent, ask what information we hold about you, and clear this storage through your browser settings. Depending on where you live, applicable state or national law may give you additional rights; we will honor valid requests to the extent such laws apply to us. To make a request, email us at the address below.
10. Links to third-party websites
This website links to sites we do not control, such as LinkedIn and Google Maps. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites; please review their policies.
11. Children’s privacy
This website serves business audiences and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the website or our practices. The effective date above indicates when it was last revised. Continued use of the website after an update means you accept the revised policy.
